More Media Shoots

After winning several awards at the 48 Hour Film Project, DAV was back behind the camera shooting a commercial for CHSI. Following the style of the popular “24″, CHSI’s commercial follows the step by step process of their business from all angles. It is currently being edited, so look for it on our Media page soon.

Coming up in the next couple of weeks is a project codenamed “Project Pony”. While details of the project are being kept a secret, I can tell you that it has nothing to do with ponies. More soon…

WOO HOO!!!!!!

DAV’s “Flip”, entry to the 48hr Film Project, has taken home honors for best Cinematography, Best Graphics and Best Use Of Character from the awards night.  Combine those with the Audience favorite award and “Flip” has collected more awards than any other entry.  Congratulations to Brandon, Rob and Mat for coming up with the great idea and executing it.  It was your vision that made “Flip” such a success.  Great work goes to Matt Orchowski for being recognized for mad cinematography skills!  Chun Lim did the title sequence garnering the Best Graphics award.  Be on the look out for us next year as the mission to to collect even more awards including the coveted Best Film Award!

FLIP wins Audience Award!

The votes have been tallied and DAV’s short film “FLIP” took home the Audience Favorite Award for it’s screening group in this years Las Vegas 48 Hour Film Project.  This is one of the many accolades we hope to announce for our efforts, right now the judges are deliberating hard on the remaining honors.  Stayed tuned for updates here on our blog as well the website, see how team DAV ranked with the indie film makers of Nevada.

DAV’s First Official Post!

 

Today commemorates our first official blog post on our shiny new website.

 

DAV is launching its new brand site and sparkly demo reels. Please poke and prod everything you see here. We are super proud of of our new look and want to hear what you the users think. We have new demo reels for both our media and events departments. We have photos from from all of or recent big jobs. We have tons of info about 711 pilot including our very capable studio. So please give it a gander and let us know what you think.

 

Aside from our new site DAV is also proud to announce our entry into the 48 Hour Film Project. Shot and produced in 48 hours (duh….), using our RED camera DAV was able to make quite the awesome film short. Written by DAV’s own Brandon Christensen and Rob Erickson along with good friend Mat Wright, “FLIP” materialized after one very long and stressful weekend. Contributing heavily to the project from the DAV team was Matt Orchowski, Josh Meeter, Amy Quigg, Quincy Kowolik, Jae Thiele, Ben Brownback, Jessica Vannatta, Melissa Burns, Lucas Lee and yours truly Chun Lim.

The new site is upon us!

Thanks to PlainJoe web development, DAV is very excited to launch our brand new shiny website!  Look out for the official launch soon.  How will you know?  If you know any of us at DAV, trust me, you will be notified.  Expect a full marketing siege of your computer and phones.  We’re going to put the name DAV out there big!
